Love Yellowstone? Well, you'll probably also love Ransom Canyon: a new Netflix western drama-romance that follows the fortunes of locals in a small Texan town called, you guessed it, Ransom Canyon.

The first season of the show revolves around the rancher and widower Staten and local dance owner Quinn. There love story is a will-they, won't-they which goes all the way back to high school, so expect some simmering tension.

Meanwhile, Staten is mourning the death of his wife Amala and son, Randall. However, he's convinced there has been foul play and sets out to prove it.

Here's what you need to know about the outcome of Ransom Canyon...

Does Quinn end up with Staten?

Let's get to the juicy stuff! As hinted above, Quinn and Staten have been pining for each other since high school, but Staten ultimately ended up marrying Amala (who he and Quinn also went to high school with) and having a son with her, called Randall.

Following Amala and Randall's death, Quinn is supportive and helps take care of Staten. However, she then decides to start dating Staten's brother-in-law Davis. Davis, however, is doing some snaky dealings on the sly and is looking to build a pipeline on Staten's land.

In episode 7, Staten reveals that he had actually intended to ask Quinn to their senior prom and not Amala. This leads Staten and Quinn to reconcile.

However, Quinn takes a job in New York as a pianist for the New York Philharmonic in order to pay off debt she owes due to Davis's shady dealings and keep her dance hall operating.

This leads to a bit of a question mark over her relationship with Staten, but Quinn does state that she will return to Texas once her debt is paid.

Who killed Randall?

Staten is adamant that there is more to the story of who killed his son than meets the eye.

When the tragic car accident is investigated, the town sheriff Dan arrests town outcast Kit. However, it turns out that Dan's wife Margaret, who has struggles with alcoholism, was having an affair with Kit and was behind the wheel on the night of the crash.

Margaret is ultimately arrested by Dan and Kit returns home.

Who is Yancy?

Yancy turns up, seemingly out of nowhere, to work for 80-year-old rancher Cap. However, his appearance isn't random.

It turns out that, in exchange for parole for prison, Yancy has been recruited by Davis to work for Cap and convince him to sell his ranch to benefit Davis's dealings with Austin Water & Power.

The twist however is that Yancy is Cap's long-lost grandson and this, alongside a romance with local Ellie, softens his heart.

What happens to Cap's ranch?

In episode 10, Yancy finds Cap dead at his ranch, *cue tears*.

After discovering he has inherited the ranch, Yancy decides to keep it and doesn't sell it to Davis as was initially planned.

He also asks Ellie to marry him, but a woman turns up claiming to be Yancy's wife and this causes some understandable drama.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for a second season!
