What is The Stolen Girl about?

The Stolen Girl is a five-part drama that's based on the novel Playdate by Alex Dahl. And they weren't wrong. The Disney+ series follows a similar plot to the novel and follows a family whose world is turned upside down after a sleepover gone wrong.

Elisa is the mum of two young children and after her nine-year-old daughter Lucia asks to have her first sleepover at a new friend's house Elisa is initially reluctant. However, upon meeting the friend's mother Rebecca, she's at ease and agrees for her daughter to go.

But when she goes to pick her up the next day, Rebecca and Lucia are gone, and the house they were staying in is revealed to be a holiday let.

What follows is a man-hunt account Europe, with Elisa and her husband Fred put under the police microscope as well.
