We're into the second week of Celebrity Big Brother, and one of the standout stars from this year's show is singer, dancer, and media personality JoJo Siwa.

Siwa recently opened up about her gender identity on the ITV reality TV show, and is in a relationship with Australian content creator Kath Ebbs.

Before appearing on CBB though, JoJo was a big part of Dance Moms, which is a reality TV show looking at the lives of the children at the Abby Lee Dance company and their mothers, as they compete against opponents to win coveted dance titles.

The show ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019 and then again in 2024. Last year, the show launched a new spin off Dance Moms: A New Era, following coach Glo Hampton as she leads Studio Bleu to compete nationally weekly.

JoJo was first introduced on the fourth season of the show when she was just 11-years-old.

JoJo was first introduced to TV world in 2013, while taking part in the second season of Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition, which sees 11 young dancers coached by their mothers competing to win a cash prize and scholarship.

However, JoJo and her mother weren't favourites amongst the other contestants and Abby, with many feeling they were too "loud". She was eventually eliminated during the 'Divas in the House' episode.

2014 - Jojo makes first appearance on Dance Moms

JoJo returned to our screens during the third episode of Dance Moms season 4, where she attended the Orlando audition. The following season, JoJo and her mother were asked to join the Abby Lee Dance Company elite team to replace Chloe.

The 21-year-old and her mother remained in the series as permanent members of the team until the second half of the sixth season, when they left following JoJo's deal with Nickelodeon.

2019 - JoJo returns to Dance Moms

After three years away from the show, JoJo returned to Dance Moms as a guest star for one episode in season 8, titled 'Making a Splash in Pittsburgh'.

The episode featured the ALDC team competing in Pittsburgh for the first time since Abby Lee Miller's return, with a bold new routine and head-to-head solos inspired by former member JoJo. This was JoJo's last appearance on the dance show.
