Of all the contestants competing on Celebrity Big Brother this year, movie star Mickey Rourke was due to receive the highest fee – £500,000 to be precise. But, after he was asked to leave the house, fans have been questioning whether he'll still get the pay out.

ICYMI, Mickey was removed from Celebrity Big Brother on Saturday (12 April) following "further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour," a spokesperson for ITV told Cosmopolitan UK.

According to the channel, the 72-year-old used behaviour and language considered to be threatening and aggressive towards fellow housemate Chris Hughes, however no physical altercation took place between them. This came just days after he was issued a formal warning over comments made to JoJo Siwa.

Now, according to a source who spoke to The Sun, Mickey's removal from the house means he won't be entitled to "all" of the money he was due to receive for his stint on the show.

"If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don't get the full fee," the source claimed. "It's as simple as that and they [ITV] will be discussing that with him."

The insider went on to allege that the decision for Mickey to exit the show was somewhat mutual, which isn't surprising given the fact he tried to leave the house during Michael Fabricant's eviction on Friday night. "Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end," they said.

After Mickey, the next celebrity due to receive the highest fee for appearing on this series of Celebrity Big Brother is JoJo Siwa. She is reportedly being paid £400,000 for her appearance, while TV presenter Trisha Goddard is the next highest-paid celeb with a fee of £200,000.

On the other end of the spectrum, The Only Way Is Essex's Ella Rae Wise is expected to take home just £20,000, while the one and only Chesney Hawkes will pocket £25,000.
