The shortest season in years: How long is Celebrity Big Brother going on for this series?

After a year away Celebrity Big Brother is back on our TV screens, ready for another season of celebrity tea spilling, arguments over the fridge and savage eviction nominations. However, don't expect to get too attached to this season's group of housemates, as it's been revealed this is one of the shortest Celebrity Big Brother seasons since the series began in 2001. So long how is this year's series going on for?

Last night the series returned with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best welcoming the newest housemates to the iconic house, which included Oscar-nominated actor Mickey Rourke, singer JoJo Siwa and former Love Islander Chris Hughes.

However, we won't be seeing this lot for weeks on end, here's everything we know about how long the series is expected to go on.

Celebrity Big Brother kicked things off on 7 April on ITV1 and the show is expected to run for 19 days, ending at the end of April. With 19 days this means the series is likely to end around 25 April.

Like last year's series which also aired for 19 days, the 2025 season has one of the shortest run times ever of the series since it began in 2001.

In the early days the show was on for less than 10 days, however, by season four the show was on for 23 days and at one point the housemates were in the house for nearly a month at its peak.

Celebrity Big Brother will air every night on ITV1 apart from Saturday nights, where the series won't be shown.

On the majority of evenings it will air at 9pm, however on Sunday night it is to expected to air at 10pm following the two hour showing of drama series Grace.

The series spin-off Late & Live will continue to air on ITV2 after the main show each night.
