In case you hadn't guessed, we are firmly living in our Married At First Sight Australia era (and we're not one iota mad about it). From spilling the tea on which current bride dated a former groom to uncovering what the f*** a 'bogan' is and which season 12 couples are still together, there isn't a topic of MAFS Australia we haven't been digging into.
And, on today's list of Very Important MAFSAU Research? We'll be investigating whether Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels are still together.
So, without further ado, here's everything you need to know about season 12's Rhi and Jeff. But, be warned, there are serious series spoilers ahead...
What has happened for Rhi and Jeff on MAFS Australia so far?
Unlike the majority of other couples on MAFS Australia, Rhi and Jeff's meeting at the altar wasn't actually their first encounter. In fact, the pair previously dated before walking down the aisle – which, we'd like to say has never happened before on the show, but has happened not once, but twice on this series alone! See: Carina Mirabile being paired with her ex, Paul Antoine.
"Oh my god! I know him," Rhi said as she walked down the aisle and saw who was waiting for her at the end, later going on to reveal that she dated Jeff the previous year. "It kind of just fizzled, we both just went our separate ways," she continued. "But we remained friends – we just ran a half-marathon together. We've even had coffee and stuff since then."
Not letting their previous encounter cloud her judgement, Rhi explained that she thinks things could work out this time. "Jeff is an amazing person," she went on. "It was just pretty much a timing thing – that was the reason it did not go forward."
Jeff shared a similar sentiment, saying that they were in the "friend-zone" with each other at the time they initially dated, so seeing her walk down the aisle was a total surprise. "It's just pure shock. Bizarre," he admitted. "It's the last thing I expected today."
And since the wedding day things have going well for these two. Their honeymoon went off without a hitch and they've been working on building up their intimacy, rather than rushing into things like they did when they previously dated.
Things weren't totally smooth sailing though, as a spanner was thrown into the works when another bride (Jacqui Burfoot) messaged Jeff privately and asks to speak with him about the bedroom issues she's having with her own husband. As you can imagine – and in true MAFS Australia style – this doesn't go down well with Rhi, or Jacqui's partner Ryan Oubre.
However, it hasn't stopped these two, after it was revealed Jeff was just as shocked as Rhi and Ryan to receive the message from Jacqui. In episode 17 during the third commitment ceremony, the couple revealed they have been intimate.
Are Rhi and Jeff from MAFS Australia still together?
Although the current season of MAFS Australia is only a few weeks into airing here in the UK, the season is nearly over in Australia, which gives us plenty of insight (see: spoilers) as to which (if any) couples are still together.
The couple go onto have a good meeting with their friends and family, with Jeff already texting with Rhi's mum following their meet up.
During the fifth commitment ceremony we then get a very cute update as Jeff says he can see himself falling in love with Rhi. They continue to grow as a couple and express their feelings for each other in letters, both saying they can see the relationship continue in the outside during the sixth week of the experiment.
At the homestays portion of the series, Rhi and Jeff travel to Jeff's apartment which she's already of course been in plenty of times. However, this time around, Jeff gives her a key, and honestly our hearts can't take it.
The perfect couple don't even have a wobble during the experiment's final tough task, which sees the experts ask them if they want to meet up with the person they were almost matched with, by both deciding not to meet their potential other partner.
In the final vows ceremony, which just aired in Australia, it was revealed the couple have chosen to continue to their relationship outside the experiment.
Following their final vows they revealed they were planning to move back to Melbourne and continue their relationship, potentially going on a holiday together and enjoy being together. Honestly too cute!
