The Oscars is mixing things up when it comes to musical performers this year.
In the past, the annual awards show has invited Best Original Song nominees to perform onstage, but this year, they did things a little differently. On top of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo hitting the stage to perform ‘Defying Gravity’ for everyone, Variety revealed that Lisa, Doja Cat, Queen Latifah, and Raye will perform.
While fans initially speculated that Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye would be performing their new song ‘Born Again,’ the Academy went ahead and shut this down on Twitter, writing, “Not ‘Born Again!’ But still legendary. Stay tuned.”
The trio ended up performing a tribute to the iconic James Bond films, each hitting the stage to perform songs from the franchise. After a lil cameo from Margaret Qualley, Lisa kicked things off with 'Live and Let Die,' complete with impressive choreo.
Then Doja Cat belted ‘Diamonds Are Forever' in a diamond-dripping dress...
And, of course, Raye brought things home with a stunning rendition of Adele’s ‘Skyfall.’
