Love Island's Ron: A reminder of who he is and what happened last time

Love Island All Stars is bringing the heat, putting more bombshells into the villa every day. Following Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Tina Stinnes arrived to stir things up, and now, Ron Hall has arrived in South Africa. But who actually is he? He's everything you need to know about his background, from what happened when he was in the Love Island villa last time, his age and more.

Speaking about how he was going to switch things up for his second appearance in the Love Island villa, Ron shared, "I’m going to care less about people’s opinions. I’m going to care less if people are talking about me behind my back. I will say my piece on it.

"I’m not going to bite my tongue as much as I did last time. I had Lana by my side and I didn’t want to put her in that position. I was very respectful of that. But I will say my piece to someone if they need to be put in their place."

He is 27 years old.

Ron was a financial advisor before Love Island. He now has a podcast called 'I'm Right He’s Wrong!' alongside Tanyel Revan, who he met in the villa.

When Ron headed into the Love Island villa first time around, he opened up about how he went blind in one eye as a child, after a sporting injury. He became the first visually impaired Islander, sharing in his pre-show chat that it's a "good conversation starter.

"On meeting me, you'd never know I am blind in one eye," he said at the time. "It was the result of a football injury when I was 8; I went in for a header and got kicked in the face."

Ron also added that he has "two different coloured eyes, one blue and one green" and said it has "added to my character, there are so many people that are worse off than me".

He continued on to reflect about the football match that changed his life, saying that it's made him more appreciate of his health and all of the good things in his life. "If anything, losing something like that makes you realise that. It's not hindered me in any shape or form. It's a good conversation starter I must admit."

Ron was part of the Love Island family during January 2023, aka season 11. While he was originally in a love triangle with Tanyel Revan, he eventually coupled up with Lana Jenkins, with the pair coming second behind Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan.

But sadly, it wasn't to be - the paid split up three months after leaving the villa. According to a MailOnline report at the time, long distance and busy work schedules were largely to blame: "Lana and Ron really put everything into their romance and have tried to make things work for some time now.

"Unfortunately, they have decided to separate, which is a decision they have made amicably and of course, they still remain good friends."

Speaking ahead of his arrival in the villa, Ron said, "I need to know them first. Forget attraction. Obviously attraction is important, but you do not know someone until you really get to know them on a deeper level. Kaz has a bit of a fiery side, it depends whether I can dig deeper."
