As fans will know, Devil Wears Prada followed Andy (played by Anne Hathaway), a wannabe features journalist who takes the job of assistant to Miranda Priestley, the editor in chief of high fashion magazine Runway.

Well, given the rumoured plot (read it below), it's likely that Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt will return as Miranda Priestly and Emily Charlton. But beyond that, it's not clear.
Speaking about whether she was 100% confirmed to star in the sequel, Emily Blunt said during an event at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Film Festival (per Variety) on 5th December 2024: "There's rumblings, there’s stuff churning around, but I don’t know if I can confirm anything complete. We would be all delighted to work together again."

On 8th July 2024, it was revealed Disney was developing a follow up to the original film, with the original film’s screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna reportedly being eyed up to write the script. She also worked on Your Place or Mine, 27 Dresses and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
What might happen in Devil Wears Prada 2?
According to Variety, "The storyline reportedly follows Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs."
