But wonder no further, because if anyone shall reveal the circumstances of this season, it is I. And by that, we mean we have a lots of info to go over, including but not limited to whether Bridgerton season four has been confirmed, who will be in the cast, and when it might be released.

Is there a first look at Bridgerton season 4 yet?
There sure is! On 14 May, Netflix treated us all and dropped the first clip from the upcoming season, and drum roll please, it's the first time Benedict sees Sophie in person. And honestly we have full on chills watching the moment take place as Benedict walks through the crowd before his eyes land on Sophie in a white dress and mask.

Has production started on Bridgerton season 4?
Yes! On 16th September 2024 Netflix announced the fourth season of Bridgerton has officially entered production, and also revealed a number of new images of our new season leads Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton and Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek:

Then, on Valentine's Day (but of course) Netflix dropped a teaser from season 4 with the caption, "Your very first look at Bridgerton Season 4!"
What will Bridgerton season 4 be about?
BENEDICT! BRIDGERTON! The show skipped over his season to give us Polin, but it looks like the writers will revert back to the original book order! As Shonda Rhimes put it to Variety ahead of season three, “I do have a very specific plan of where we go each season —which one is which.
"Because you really have to start seeding in the other siblings, and what’s going on with them, to push them to the next season. We’ve really talked about it through, I think, [to] season 6 or maybe 7."
Then, on 23rd July 2024, Netflix confirmed the news officially, announcing Benedict as the lead character of season four. They wrote "It's official – next season is Benedict season on #Bridgerton!!!"
They then followed up with a synopsis which read, "The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball."
What is Bridgerton season 4's release date?
Well it's sort of good news, Netflix officially confirmed the show will be coming back in 2026, however, they haven't specified which of the 365 days of 2026 the new season will drop on.
Speaking at the UK premiere of Bridgerton season three part 2, showrunner Jess Brownell told The Hollywood Reporter: "We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film, then they have to be edited, then they have to be dubbed into every language. And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range."
The showrunner added that season four is "some of her best work", adding, "We’re towards the end with the writers' room season, with the scripts. We’ve just really gelled our collaboration, and we’re firing on all cylinders, so I can’t wait for fans to see what we have."

Who will be in Bridgerton season 4?
Of course Luke Thompson will be returning as our leading man Benedict Bridgerton for season four. As for his future wife? Well that would be Yerin Ha taking on the role of Sophie Baek.
Also set to join the cast is former Harry Potter actor Katie Leung who will be playing the role of Lady Araminta Gun, who is desperate to get at least one of her two daughters married this season. Joining her as her two daughters are Michelle Mao who will play Rosamund Li, the eldest, who has her sights set on Benedict, and Isabella Wei as Posy Li, Rosamund's younger sister.
Both Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are in for season 4! Nicola herself confirmed this happy news during an interview with The Wrap, saying “They’ve told us we’re back for season 4, which is super lovely…It’ll be exciting. [We’ll] pop back and have some fun for sure.”
Thank god, because Bridgerton wouldn't be Bridgerton without Lady Whistledown's dry wit. In fact, it seems (relatively) safe to assume that Nicola will be a permanent cast member due to her central role, but that's just us speculating. Elsewhere in the cast, we'd expect to see:

It was touch and go at one point as to whether Jonathan Bailey would return as head of the family Anthony Bridgerton, but in August this year he confirmed he will be returning to his role. We'd therefore expect Simone Ashley to return as his wife Kate.
