It's official, The Traitors is back and we can't wait for more challenges, betrayals and drama on our screens this season. But, where is the series filmed?

The third season of the BBC game show began on 1st January and saw Claudia Winkleman return as host, along with 25 contestants who are all in with the chance of winning up to £120,000.

The Traitors and Faithful film in a very fancy castle up in Scotland and if, like us, you're wondering where that castle is and where the rest of the series is filmed, then we've got you covered.

Where is The Traitors filmed?

The Traitors is filmed up in the Scottish highlands, north of Inverness, at a variety of locations.

So, expect to see even more beautiful Scottish backdrops for the challenges this season. Can't wait!

Where is The Traitors castle?

The majority of the show is set at Ardross Castle, which is a 19th century castle set within over 100 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Alness.

It is located just north of Inverness in the beautiful Scottish Highlands and is the location in which the contestants film the roundtable eliminations, breakfast reveals plus some of the tasks.

It's also used to film international versions of The Traitors including The Traitors US.

Can I visit The Traitors castle?

Unfortunately, the castle is not open to the public but it is available for private hire such as weddings. So, yes, you can get married there!

The official website states: "The Castle and the Estate are available for private hire and, while we do not let individual rooms, we can accommodate small groups. The Castle and Estate are privately owned and therefore there is no facility for tour parties or individual visits."
