Red, White & Royal Blue is the movie everyone is talking about right now. The film dropped on Prime Video on 11th August and follows Alex, the son of the first female US President and British Prince Henry as they go from bitter enemies to secret lovers.
Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine star in the leading roles, and if you watched until the very end, you'll know that the film is dedicated to Taylor's sister, Kristy. But, who exactly is Kristy and why is the film dedicated to her? Here's everything you need to know.
Who is Kristy, Taylor Zakhar Perez's sister?
Kristy is Taylor's older sister, who sadly passed away from cancer in early June at just 44-years-old.
On Instagram, Taylor paid tribute to his sister where he shared that she died after being diagnosed with aggressive stage four Colorectal cancer, leaving behind her husband and three children.
"Losing my oldest sister has plunged me into a realm of profound sorrow and longing," he wrote. "She was not just a sibling, but a pillar of strength, guidance, and unwavering support in my life. Kristy taught us compassion, patience, and unconditional love. She was the eldest sibling of eight, she watched all of us come into this world, but sadly we had to watch her leave it."
"She was the proudest sister, knew every quote, dance, and song from my projects, and was so looking forward to seeing RWRB that I can’t imagine it premiering without her," he continued.
Taylor added that "it all happened so fast, unexpectedly and aggressively" after Kristy was diagnosed with cancer and urged his followers to listen to their bodies and check in on their health.
Red, White & Royal Blue is streaming on Prime Video now.
