Love Island star Olivia Hawkins has commented on her ex-partner Kai Fagan winning the 2023 series with Sanam Harrinanan. And, unlike in the villa, it seems there's no bad blood between Olivia and the winning couple following their infamous Casa Amor recoupling drama.

Olivia, who was dumped from the villa with Maxwell Samuda on March 1, shared an Instagram Story with a message for the winning couple after they were crowned on March 13.

"Happy for them," Olivia captioned a picture of the Love Island winners, alongside the doe-eyed emoji.

Following her exit, Olivia has looked back on her behaviour on the show, admitting that her reaction to Kai recoupling with Sanam after their fling was "hypocritical".

For her part, Olivia returned to the villa from Casa Amor with Maxwell on her arm, so she should've been ready for the prospect of seeing her Kai with someone new as well.

"In the moment, you know, it's so intense. Emotions were high – there were real feelings there, so when I walked through those doors, I was so nervous," she said on Aftersun.

Speaking about her experience, Olivia also said she was happy she and Kai were able to smooth things over and revealed she'd been friends with Sanam in the villa.

"You know, I said to him, 'Thank you so much for being such a big part of my journey'. And Sanam, we've actually got a really nice friendship. She's such a lovely girl. So yeah, I just wish them the best."

Last night's final episode of Love Island series 9 — the first season hosted by Maya Jama — saw Kai and Sanam bag the £50,000 cash prize.

The two beat out the other three remaining couples, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
