The Recruit season 2: Confirmed release date, cast and more

As big Noah Centineo fans, we loved the actor's release The Recruit, which dropped on Netflix in December 2022. *Spoilers ahead*.

In a slightly different role for Noah, the crime series sees him starring as Owen Hendricks, a young but unprepared CIA lawyer thrown into the deep end of the spy world. When a former asset threatens to expose agency secrets, Owen finds himself embroiled in a dangerous game of international espionage. Intense.

The first series is made up of eight episodes, and after two years away we're desperate to know if there will be any more Owen. So is there going to be a second season?

Here's what everything know about The Recruit season two so far.

Yes! Netflix confirmed in January 2023 that The Recruit would officially be getting a second season. Wooo!

Speaking to Tudum, the creator of The Recruit, Alexi Hawley said: "I'm thrilled to dive back into the fun, funny, action-packed world of The Recruit. Seeing how invested our audience became in the show's adventurous take on the spy world and Noah's turn as Owen has been incredibly rewarding, and I can't wait to turn it all up to '11' in Season Two."

Noah Centineo also shared his excitement at the renewal of the second season saying: "I know I speak for our entire cast and executive team at eOne and Netflix when I say that we are thrilled to be returning to The Recruit for a second season. I'm looking forward to seeing what Alexi Hawley has in store for us all."

Good news guys! We don't have long to wait for season two as Netflix has officially confirmed the second series will drop on the streamer on 30th January 2025.

As well as letting us know the release date, Netflix has also shared some info on what we can expect to see occur in the upcoming season, which will have six episodes as opposed to season one's eight.

According to Tudum, the new season will see: "Owen pulled into a life-threatening espionage in South Korea only to realise the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the agency."

Sounds so good.

Now that season two is on the way, we're starting to get an idea of who will be returning. First up, we're happy to say series lead Noah Centineo is returning as Owen Hendricks.

There's also Fivel Stewart who stars as Hannah (and we're hoping for an Owen-Hannah reunion in S2), plus Angel Parker who plays Dawn.

It now looks like Laura Haddock who played the character of Max Meladze, will not be returning for the second season. The season one finale saw Max shot by Karolina, who turned out to be her daughter.

Also set to return is Nathan Fillion as CIA Director Alton West and we're welcoming new cast member Teo Yoo as Jang Kyun Kim.

Well we know where we'll be on 30th January.
