- Jeffree Star was forced to respond to claims ex-boyfriend Nathan Schwandt was already dating someone new, following reports of that nature.
- The YouTuber announced the couple's split after five years together with a video over the weekend, titled "We Broke Up".
Jeffree Star left YouTube fans gutted over the weekend when he confirmed rumours that he and boyfriend of five years Nate Schwandt had broken up. Just days after cancelling his makeup tour with Mmmmitchell for 'personal reasons', Jeffree took to YouTube to thank fans for their support, and share an insight into the split.
"We are a few weeks [into] me and Nathan no longer being together," he said. "And I don't even know where to begin. There's no easy way to say this, but we did break up."
In the video, Jeffree also explained that there was no drama behind the split. "This isn't like an Internet fight," he continued. "This isn't drama, this isn't tea. This is my real life and me and my soul mate are really going through it and we're both, we've both been through so much the last few years...I will always have love for him Are we in love with each other? No. But we love each other and he will always be in my life."
Since sharing the news, though, Jeffree and his ex-boyfriend were hit by claims that Nate had already moved on - something which the makeup mogul quickly shut down on Instagram Stories.
Jeffree first shared a photo of Nate's back with the caption, "Nate was being a dad dog all day", before explaining there was no way his ex was "in another city with another girl". Jeffree said:
"A lot of you are like, 'Are you and Nate like hanging out right now?' I was visiting my grandma...instead of having my security guards or team watch my dogs, why not have Nathan, who raised them with me for years, watch them instead? Also, him and I both felt like it was necessary to show that he is actually at my house today because there are a few media outlets reporting that Nathan is in another city with another girl."
Well, that clears up that one.
Seeing as Nate and Jeffree have only just broken up after five years together, it would be fairly impressive for him to have moved on already. Maybe we should just give the rumours a rest and give these two some time?
