- Tanya Burr has finally opened up about her split from Jim Chapman, after the pair announced their divorce in March 2019.
- The YouTubers were together for 12 years, getting engaged in 2012 in New York, and tying the knot at Babington House in Somerset, in September 2015.
Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman left fans in shock when they announced their divorce in March 2019 with separate statements on Instagram Stories. In hers, Tanya wrote, "Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together.
"We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time."
In the time since, though Jim has gone public with his new girlfriend Sarah Tarleton, neither he nor Tanya have publicly spoken about the reason behind the split.
Until now, that is, with Tanya opening up in an interview with The Telegraph about what happened, and how it feels to be the subject of internet speculation. "I’ve been there, where I’ve seen someone saying, 'Ooh, have you heard so-and-so and so-and-so have split?' and then thought, 'Let me look that up,'" she commented.
"It’s what people do. I’m not angry with anyone. People are just being people. It’s hard and horrible. I’ll never google myself again."
The YouTuber went to touch on how their relationship is now. "All that matters is what Jim and I think," Tanya continued. "It’s boring – he’s still my best friend. We’ve been best friends for 12 years, [but] people will want some drama from it. We’re always going to be in each other’s lives, hopefully."
Tanya also revealed in the interview that the couple's Fulham home has been sold and they share custody of their pet dachshund, Martha.
