Meet Venus. She's 5-years-old with a half-black/ half-tabby face, one green eye and one blue one (just like David Bowie) – and the pictures her "Mommy" posts on Facebook and Instagram are making her a massive internet star.
"I was found a stray on a dairy farm in North Carolina and because of one of my Mommy's friends posting cute pics of me, Mommy wanted me so a few days later I was part of a new family," Venus explains on her page.
Venus says she's most definitely not an elaborate Photoshopping ruse: "I'm 100% natural. No make up at all. Not even eyeliner."
Science boffs have suggested that her unique colouring is down to the genetic trait chimerism, but Venus has other ideas. "[Scientists] tried to take my fingerprints. But, everyone knows that cats don't have fingers. Silly scientists! So then, they took some of my DNA and found I was composed mostly of XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO. (That's hugs and kisses for those of you who don't speak the lanugage of love)."
She lists her purrfect interests as "finding comfortable places to sleep and jumping on Mommy's lap. I'm very easy going, mellow and sweet. Though I can be a little bossy to the other animals." Watch out Grumpy Cat...
