It’s fair to say that people have a lot of thoughts and feelings about Amy and Curtis’s romance on Love Island, with tonight’s episode causing a bit of drama in their usual stable connection.
For anyone who missed the show tonight, the gang all participated in a kissing challenge that saw the lads blindfolded as they were asked to rate each snog from the girls out of ten.
Unfortunately for Curtis, he jumped to the wrong conclusion about a certain smooch and ended up giving newbie Arabella a score of 10/10 after mistaking her for “half-girlfriend” Amy.
With the other Islanders cracking a few jokes about the situation, Amy started feeling insecure, while Curtis tried to repair things by explaining that he only rated the kiss so highly because he thought it was coming from her.
The fact that he apologised for hurting her feelings has gone done well with some viewers, but others felt that it wasn’t totally necessary and that he hadn’t really done anything wrong by playing the game.
“Curtis is fucking BIG D**K ENERGY. I think every guy could take some lessons on how to treat a woman from that guy. It's a 10/10 from me. #loveisland,” one person responded.
Another argued that Amy’s tactic of lightly scratching his neck to indicate when she was kissing him wasn’t the smartest idea of the series: “Curtis; How did I know it was you? Amy; I sCrAtChEd YoUr NeCk #LoveIsland.”
Despite going through a bit of a rocky patch, their impromptu dance at the end of the episode proves that things are definitely still moving in the right direction for them.
