At her gig in Las Vegas last night, Lady Gaga subtly addressed her breakup from Christian Carino for the first time.

It was her Jazz and Piano show, so she was there to sing some classics, including Ella Fitzgerald's 'Someone to Watch Over Me,' which is a super emotional song about searching for love. Gaga has performed it at her Jazz and Piano shows before, but when she introduced the song last night, she said it wouldn't be her typical rendition.

“Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it’ll be different this time,” she told the crowd, according to Us Weekly. !!!! What does it MEAN? The lyrics to the song are pretty deep, TBH. Here's a sample:

"Looking everywhere, haven't found him yet, He's the big affair I cannot forget, Only man I ever think of with regret... There's a somebody I'm longin' to see, I hope that he turns out to be, Someone who'll watch over me"

There's another line in the song that talks about "seeking" a certain "lad" she's had in mind. It's not like Lady Gaga wrote this song herself, obviously, but singing it both then and now is pretty telling right? BUT TELLING OF WHAT? IDK IDK.

Here's a recording of her performing the song back in January, when she was still engaged:

Gaga's new comment comes amid some weird Instagram activity on Christian Carino's part. Last week, he posted a quote that said, “Miracles happen when she’s around me.” He followed it up with a post that read, “Tell her you love her.” Naturally, Gaga fans went IN in the comments, which was probably unnecessary.

SOMEONE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
