Remember Chris from the first series of Love Island?

OK so you would have to rack your brain all the way back to 2015, but the contestant has just given us a little insight into what it's really like to film the show.

While we already got some goss from Love Islander Kady on what it's like to be in that villa, Chris has just shared a piece of info we haven't heard before.

Apparently, like a normal job, they get days off. Who knew?

According to Chris, contestants get one day off a week off filming to spend time together away from the cameras. Er, doesn't that kind of defeat the point of the show?!

It seems not. Chris told Chroniclelive.co.uk, "Once a week we were allowed to leave the villa and weren’t filmed so none of the viewers would ever know.

"There was a day every week when footage wasn't needed, which was liberating as you could talk about anything."

He also revealed that there's a producer responsible for putting storylines together, and, as Kady backed up when she spke to us, there's a serious lack of clocks in that villa.

"You never know the time!" Chris said.

“Even when you go out the villa, the car clocks get changed and even the driver’s watch."

He also revealed that there's rarely ever any music played in the house and stars only get two alcoholic drinks a night. Suddenly the villa doesn't sound quite so appealing...

Kady also said about the lack of booze, "During the first four or five days when we didn’t know each other we had alcohol to break the ice, but then after that it was two glasses of wine a night. And we were sure it was watered down as well! I don’t get that at all."
