13 Reasons Why fans have been coming up with plenty of great theories. But one has been shot down by one of the stars of the show.
Yes, that's right. Tony Padilla (Christian Navarro) is not a ghost.
The theory goes that Tony is either already dead and speaking to Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) from beyond the grave, or he is simply a figment in Clay's imagination.
The part where this theory kind of falls apart is we have seen Tony interacting with plenty of other characters besides Clay.
Actor Christian Navarro said as much when he was asked about it by EliteDaily.
"There was a big [theory] that was like, Tony's a ghost. And I was like, 'Watch the show, man. There's no way. I interact with everybody. Tony's a real guy,'" he said.
"That one was a little bit of a stretch to me.
"Sometimes these fan theories are incredibly impressive and ahead of the curve and shock me, but that was not one of them. It would be amazing, but no."
Sorry to disappoint.
That's not the only theory that has been dismissed lately.
Miles Heizer, who plays Alex Standall, recently suggested that his character did indeed shoot himself at the end of season one – and Tyler Down wasn't responsible, as some fans have been suggesting.
