Love Island's Chris Hughes has denied claims he and girlfriend Olivia Attwood have split, taking to Instagram to post a gushing tribute for her.

Alongside a photo of the pair cosied up, Chris wrote: "Come to support my girl on her new project, exciting opportunity for her! Proud of how far she's come in this short space of time, deserves every opportunity that comes her way. Regarding other aspect of today, manipulation is powerful in the public eye. She's been a princess to me ever since we landed back in the UK, and I don't blame people for judging as it's the world we live in, but understand I'm not naive in this situation. Unfortunately Olivia put herself in this position unintentionally, nobody understands this situation like ourselves, and that's the main point behind today."

Rumours of a break up kicked off yesterday when pictures appeared online from Liv’s latest night out, which saw her spending a night at Faces in Essex with a mystery bloke thought to be Blackburn Rovers player, Bradley Dack.

The pair were spotted together in the smoking area of the club, where they were seen leaning in towards each other to chat, before Liv was later seen apparently kissing the footballer on the neck. She was then reportedly seen following him into a taxi when they left the club.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when, just hours later, Chris took to Instagram with a solo selfie, captioned: “Whatever makes you feel bad, leave it. Whatever makes you smile, keep it.”

Although the caption soon appeared to have been edited and now reads: "Whatever makes you smile, keep it."

Olivia was first to deny the break up, tweeting yesterday: "Just for the record. Chris and I were together Saturday night. So everyone can just relax."

Who knows what's next for Chris and Olivia but we're relieved the pair appear to be still going strong.
