Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo are getting real about sex while pregnant – or rather, a lack of.
Speaking on their newly renamed podcast, Nearly Parents, the pair this week opened up about the impact pregnancy has had on their bedroom antics. To recap, Jamie and Sophie announced earlier this year in June that they are expecting their first child together.
Jamie started the conversation by suggesting he and Sophie could have sex to initiate labour, when the time is right. "When baby does come, to induce the baby, we can have sex," he says, to which she took an anxious pause and replies: "Yeah... I lost my breath for a second. I held it, pure nerves and anticipation."
Going on to share her anxiety and fear over it, she asks, "It might be awkward, it's been that long. It will be awkward, won't it?"
"Yeah, yeah, it will be awkward," Jamie responds, as his wife continues: "Can't even get drunk. It will genuinely be awkward. Will we be like staring into each other's eyes?"
Jamie then goes on to say he thinks they'll have to get around this apparent awkwardness by doing the "doggy" sex position during pregnancy. "You're really weirding me out these days," Sophie adds, prompting Jamie to backtrack on his previous comment and say: "Okay, fine, it's going to be missionary."

In the rest of the podcast, the pair discuss how sex positions will work with a pregnant belly in the mix, as Sophie then shares concerns over what she will "look" like towards the end of her third trimester.
In response to the conversation, fans took to Instagram to share similar worries as well as some positive encouragement. "Honestly, it's fine. I had five children and didn't stop having sex. I understand you feel nervous, but when your little one is due, if you go over it's the best thing to start you off," one fan shared, as another agreed: "Do it. [It] helped my second child come."
"It might be awkward, but you'll find a new rhythm together again," a third person commented, as another wrote: "You two crack me up."
