Singer Lucy Spraggan has revealed the "sincerely" painful vulva injury she sustained while filming Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will require surgery; the star sustained a tear while trying to jump from a speedboat to a helicopter, but unfortunately missed and crashed into the water below.

This resulted in not only her vulva tearing, in part due to the harness she was wearing, but the filler in her face being displaced (as she hit the water face first) and a black eye.

Speaking about how her vulva injury now requires surgery, Spraggan said she has been giving herself the time and space to recover ahead of her operation.

"It's just like a discomfort thing, rather than it being like anything too traumatic," the musician revealed during a chat with LadBible. "Like I say, there's worse things happen in the world. Cosmedicare [a private hospital in Scotland, are doing the operation], they did my tits, actually.

"When I lost like 22 kilos, and I ruined my boobs those guys reconstructed my boobs, and now they're going to reconstruct my labia, which is really funny."

Spraggan added that she's also noticed a real difference in the way that men and women are able to discuss their genitals and the reaction to that, highlighting that two male contestants (Troy Deeney and Conor Benn) on SAS: Who Dares Wins also experienced pain during the challenge – but haven't received half as much attention as she has in response.

Everyone's clicking on...

"Men can say, 'Oh, I've hurt my balls', and that's just an everyday part of life, but if a woman is like, oh my god, I f*cking ripped my labia, everyone's like: 'Oh my God, this woman's talking about her vagina'," Lucy said, when reflecting on the misogyny. "I just think that it's kind of crazy that men are always like, 'Oh, my balls, my balls, my balls'.

"The second that a woman is like, I've got a vulva [it's a big news story]."

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Win continues on Channel 4
