Molly-Mae Hague has shared some honest – and relatable – thoughts on her postpartum body confidence, revealing that she's struggling to accept her "new mum body".

Sharing a YouTube video with her 1.7 million subscribers – which she recorded in Barbados, where she recently acted as bridesmaid for her long-time manager and friend – the former reality TV star said: "For me at the minute, swimsuits are the one. I’m not a bikini girl at the minute because I just don’t have the confidence."

"Right now with my body, I need anything that is going to give me confidence," she went on. "Because I genuinely feel like with time, my confidence with my body is actually getting worse. It’s irritating me."

Molly-Mae added that, while she wants to feel confident in her postpartum body, she's not yet in that place – something which many new parents will likely relate to. "I really felt on this trip that I [was] going to embrace it, I don’t care, my new mum body, I’m proud of it, and I am," she said. "But at the same time I’m finding it hard to accept that I’ve got a real journey to start if I want to feel more confident in my body."

Later opening up on her Instagram Story about her body confidence journey, Molly-Mae said in a Q&A session with fans: "I'm not finding it particularly easy."

But, she continued, "I always knew the second I fell pregnant that accepting my new post-baby body wouldn't happen overnight."

Everyone's clicking on...

"I'll get there," the business mogul added. "I'm hoping I'll fall back in love with a healthy/balanced lifestyle again soon... it's not happened quite yet, but I know I need to be patient with myself."

She ended her post by reminding others in a similar position that they're not alone. "Postpartum mummas also struggling with this... be kind to yourself," she wrote.

You've got this, Molly-Mae!
