When it comes to gymspiration, there's few who do it better than Jennifer Aniston (or should that be Anistone?) – and luckily, she's just shared a new workout video proving her Queen of Flexibility status is going nowhere. Oh, and the core strength this woman has? Yeah, it should be studied by science.

In the new video, in which Jen reps a cute workout 'fit to boot, comprised of a bright pink sports bra and dark leggings, the Friends star demonstrates how she does a Pvolve workout (a low-impact fitness method for which she's an ambassador).

Speaking about how she came to love the method, Jennifer explained back in 2021 that she discovered it after sustaining a back injury in her early fifties.

"I don’t feel like myself when I’m not able to workout,” she said at the time. "I had a friend who had already been doing Pvolve and not only did I notice her complete transformation - physically in her energy level - but she also explained that Pvolve respects where your body is at and allows you to work around your current limitations."

The Pvolve method uses some nifty equipment, including gliders (flat discs that you put under your feet and which slide across the floor, e.g. making a plank more challenging), heavy resistance bands and an arm-toning device.

But how else does Jennifer stay in such incredible shape at 56? The actor and her trainers reveal 5 simple things she does that we could all use to get ahead on our goals, too...

1) Short bursts of exercise at a time

"I had to retrain my brain," the actor once told Vogue when discussing how her attitude towards fitness has "absolutely evolved over the years" – and how she realised that little and often on the workout front can go a long way.

"It used to be pounding, pounding, pounding," Jen said of her former go-to workouts. "You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren’t getting a workout."

In another interview with InStyle, she also shared, "I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline."

2) Keep consistent

And on that note... Jen's yoga and spin teacher of over fifteen years, Mandy Ingber, once told Healthista: "My clients and I make sure we do daily exercise. I aim for seven days a week of training and normally hit five. Diet and exercise is key."

While seven days a week is probably a tad extreme for the average person, 30 minute blasts of exercise five days a week? Well, that'd more than hit the NHS' recommendation that we all get (at least) 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity in per week (meaning exercise where you can still talk while exercising, but not sing), or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity activity (where talking is tough).

3) Yoga is king

Jen's trainer Mandy also revealed that stretching combined with cardio is a winning combination for the actor. "With Jennifer Aniston, I would do 30 minutes of spinning, 40 minutes of yoga, incorporating some of my 'hybrid' yoga poses paired with a toning exercise," she shared. "We would do some power yoga, vinyasa flow and then some yin yoga stretching, and then finish with the infrared sauna."

So, making one or two of your 30 minute sessions into a yoga moment? Jen An approved.

4) Channel your rage

And don some boxing gloves! "There's something about the mental aspect of boxing — the drills, your brain has to work, you're not just sitting on a bike," Jennifer shared during a cover interview with InStyle. "Boxing is a great way to get aggression out. You get a mental release of all this crap you're taking into your ears and eyes every day and have little fantasy moments imagining who you're punching."

Good for the brain and body? Yep, we're all in – and luckily most commercial gyms now offer some form of boxing class too, so if you've got a membership you should be able to easily access one. If not, there are YouTube vids galore to choose from.

5) Eat whole foods

Another of Jen's trainers, Leyon Azubuike, co-owner of Gloveworx, once told Women's Health that he encourages the actress to go for healthy fats and whole foods, over processed items. "I love avocados, coconut oil, salmon, fish oil... anything that’s a good form of fat is great," he said. For carbs and protein, Leyon added that we all likely need a different intake depending on lifestyle. "For me, I stick to 1.7 grams of carbs and 2 grams of protein per my kilo weight to support muscle-building."

In 2016, Jennifer herself told Yahoo! Food that she avoids junk as much as possible, "It’s pretty clear: eat as much organic fruits and veggies as you can, keep sugar [intake] low, drink tons and tons of water, and get good sleep." Noted.
