We get it. There are so many options when it comes to skincare out there, it can be impossible to know where to start – especially when it comes to cleanser.
From gels and balms to creams, washes and foams, there are so many sub-categories of cleanser these days that frankly, if you’ve managed to find The One then we salute you for your strength and determination.

But if you'd like to be pointed in the right direction when it comes to locating your holy-grail product, we've got your back. Our insider intel has revealed that one of the top-rated cleansers at Space NK is in fact a tried-and-tested classic.
Yep, the winner of our cleanser popularity contest is the Goat Milk Moisturising Cleanser from A-list facialist Kate Somerville, which is getting incredible reviews on the site right now.
This thick, creamy formula is famed for the way it manages to soothe skin while simultaneously leaving it really, really clean. Infused with avocado and jojoba oils as well as Manuka honey, it’s been clinically proven to be safe for the most sensitive skin (although we’d recommend it for any skin type).

But the real hero ingredient is, unsurprisingly, the goat milk. It’s in there because of its high lactic-acid content, which acts as a mild chemical exfoliator without upsetting the pH balance of the skin. (After all, if your cleanser is throwing your skin out of whack, you’re failing at the first hurdle.) As it has larger molecules than stronger sister glycolic, lactic acid doesn't penetrate as deeply into the skin, making it a much gentler option.
So there you have it – there's a reason people are obsessing over this creamy, comforting cleanser. If you suffer with redness, irritation or overly dry skin, it’s a no-brainer.
(FYI: If you’re looking to overhaul the rest of your routine, the coordinating moisturiser and de-puffing eye cream are equally well-loved.)
