Sage green has staged a very chic takeover. Soft, chalky and faintly botanical, it's the shade fashion has collectively decided feels right for spring: grown-up enough to replace nude and interesting enough to dethrone baby pink.

After appearing on the spring/summer 2026 runways at the likes of Acne Studios, Balmain, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Sandro and Valentino, it wasn't long before the fashion crowd began folding the shade into their everyday wardrobes, cementing its status as the colour of the season.

On the catwalk, it arrived via slinky tailoring, sheer layers and modern minimalism, but, as ever, fashion doesn't stop at hemlines. Beauty is simply an extension of what we see on the runway, which means when a shade dominates the clothes, it's only a matter of time before it filters into our makeup bags and manicure appointments!

So, to get ahead of the curve, we've rounded up six sage manicures that you're going to want to screenshot immediately. Get ready to go green with envy glossy intent...

Sage green French tips

The French manicure has had more comebacks than a 2000s pop star (no names mentioned), and sage green is its most sophisticated remix yet. Swapping out stark white for a muted green tip makes the whole thing feel intentional, not bridal. Add 3D gold details between the base and the tip, and suddenly, you've got yourself a set fit for Bridgerton royalty.

Sage green floral nails

Florals for spring? Perhaps not groundbreaking, but when paired with a sage green colour palette, Miranda Priestly would be all ears. The muted green base gives traditional blooms a cooler, more editorial energy – think delicate daisies, tiny hand-painted wildflowers or even a single strategically placed blossom per nail.

Sage green polka dot nails

Polka dots are a timeless trend, but they're having something of a major moment right now. Case in point: Fiorucci, Nina Ricci, Khaite, Altuzarra and Christian Siriano's spring/summer 2026 runway collections, all of which featured the print. So, pair it with the colour of the season, and you've got yourself a nail set that ticks all the boxes!

Sage green cat eye nails

Another nail trend that has only continued to gain traction since its debut is the cat eye mani. Using magnetic polish, the finish creates a light-catching stripe that shifts and shimmers as your hands move. The result? A velvety, almost liquid finish that's minimal colour, maximum drama.

Sage green and pink nails

Pink was everywhere at Copenhagen Fashion Week, and paired with sage, the two are a masterclass in balance. The cool, earthy tone reins in the sweetness of blush, while pink stops sage from veering too serious. You could say it's colour theory doing couples therapy.

Sage green marble nails

Marble nails may feel a tad 2016, but didn't we all say 2016 was making its great comeback? Swirls of sage, milky white and deeper green, create a layered, organic effect that actually feels super expensive. Each nail ends up slightly different, which only adds to the appeal.
