As a matte foundation, full-coverage-loving twenty-something-year-old teenage girl (I'm in denial) – who also has oily, acne-prone skin, may I add – I never thought that a dewy skin tint would find its way into my daily makeup routine. But here I am today, glowing, as if I just discovered skincare for the first time. Miracles do happen...

For this newfound love of minimalist makeup, I present my acceptance speech, acknowledgements, and thanks (read: this love letter), dedicated to Victoria Beckham and her very own viral product, The Foundation Drops with TFC8®. So, if a lightweight base with thousands of glowing social media video reviews sounds like your match made in makeup heaven, see my tried and tested thoughts below.

Victoria Beckham Beauty The Foundation Drops with TFC8®

The Foundation Drops with TFC8®

In the summer of 2025, Victoria Beckham Beauty released its very first foundation (The Foundation Drops), targeting makeup minimalists. It comes in 19 shades that range from 0 Fair Light to 18 Rich, with a number of cool, neutral and warm undertones and can be described as a marrying of skincare and makeup.

Speaking about the release, Victoria said at the time: "We created The Foundation Drops for minimalists like me. The formula melts into my skin for a naturally flawless complexion and nourishes with Augustinus Bader's TFC8® technology as I wear it. This is the first foundation that feels like nothing, yet truly does everything."

Pretty impressive claims, right? Well, other than the absurdly expensive price tag (because yes, this love, like the spending habits that go hand in hand with any romantic relationship, comes at the detriment of my bank account), I would agree to the product being "flawless"... Just like my skin, TBH.

Balling on a budget? (Same.) Read about some of our other fave lightweight foundation and skin tint products here.

Just a few drops of the formula stretch to cover redness and pigmentation across the whole face and melt into the skin with just a few buffs. Think: Your natural complexion, but better. Texture-wise, it's super lightweight, so much so that it feels undetectable on the skin, not to mention that the dry down is dewy but not greasy, making for a healthy, radiant glow. Dull winter complexion? We don't know her!

Before and after:

As someone with oily skin, I set the base with a loose powder to maximise wear and longevity, and throughout the day, it needed minimal blotting. That said, if you have dry skin, the base alone works a dream.

And not only that, but the technology in its formula (created by Augustinus Bader, a biomedical scientist and the brains behind his luxury namesake brand) not only improves skin appearance on first application, but over time, too. This is due to a complex of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins, and small molecules that work to support the skin's natural regeneration process and guide nutrients to cells.

While fine lines and wrinkles aren't a top priority for me, the clinical trials carried out by the brand show that 100 per cent of participants saw significant improvement in skin elasticity after 6 weeks of use, and 97 per cent of participants showed significant improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after 6 weeks of use.*

*Based on a clinical trial of 33 females, aged 35-66 years, using a Cutometer®.

So, although dubbed a 'foundation', this product is more skin-tint-like thanks to its hybrid skincare-makeup formula – and we love beauty that works smarter, not harder!

Now, I could continue waxing lyrical, but let's just let my face do all the talking, shall we?

Still not convinced? Read a variety of glowing 5-star reviews from customers who love The Foundation Drops just as much as I do:

  • "I originally purchased the Victoria Beckham Beauty Foundation Drops directly from the VB website and absolutely fell in love with them! The texture is silky and blends like a dream — lightweight yet gives such beautiful, natural coverage. When I pair it with my Augustinus Bader skincare, my skin literally glows all day long."
  • "The foundation is delicate and covers imperfections. My skin looks fresh and so healthy. It settles into my skin the way I've always dreamed. It doesn't create lines under my eyes like other foundations, which is amazing. And it stays on my face as long as I expect. It doesn't stain clothes or hands like other foundations. The effect exceeded my expectations. The foundation also has a delicate scent, which is pleasant."
  • "I never liked to use foundation because of the feeling of having something on my face. The VB foundation drops is absolutely amazing. Light to medium coverage, very natural. And it gives so much hydration. I'm in love!!!"
  • "I wanted to hate this because of the price… lol. However, I really love it. So easy to use, feels great, blends out in a second. Beautiful product. I love all my VB makeup."
  • "In love with the formulation of this foundation, it’s so skin like, I’ve gotten compliments of how glowy my skin looks!"

Firmer, plumper, VB skin soon come!
