This is so clever and allover our feed this year. The ultimate last minute halloween look! You can use special effects makeup or face paint if you have it, but can also just use lipstick, liquid lipstick, and lip and cheek stain to create the same. Grab your fork and your toothbrush and you're all set. Just be sure to set with setting spray!

2023 maybe be the year of Barbie but Bratz have been having a serious moment alongside the 00s fashion revival. Pick your doll inspo and go all out with the exaggerated pastel shadow, long lashes and wildly over-lined lips with a contrast liner. If your contour skills are up to scratch, sculpting that round face shape will be a thorough touch.
Disclaimer - We aren't anti-surgery at Cosmo. We're pro happy and safe. Without bashing anyones choices we can also love this scary botched surgery makeup look that just requires drawing a few choicely placed arrows on your face and a little tape on the nose, blood optional. You can experiment with where the arrows go for a look that suits your face shape too.
If you aren't sure you've got it in you for the look above, go simple with this mime clown look. Draw on with a dark kohl pencil and match with vampy contrast lined lips, dark lashes and a slight red hue to your eye shadow.
OK, this looks hard, but it actually requires beginner-friendly makeup skills, I promise.
Done by Halloween makeup queen Desi Perkins, this look started with Desi applying her usual glam makeup as the base. When she was done, she put on Face Lace stickers on one side of her face and down her neck to look like an exposed skull. Yes guys, those are STICKERS. Genius. If you want to try it, check out these options from ASOS.

This one is pretty simple on the face, get two shades of green face paint, one for your base and one for contour, with some black for the depth. The real art goes on on those drawn on hulk abs.
Ok we'll be wearing this all of spooky season. If I can do a winged liner on the tube I can master this gothic bat wing on solid ground. Just remember to use a black shadow to blend your wing into the corner of your lower lash line.
If all you have at home to work with is black clothes (no, bc same), this webbed eye is the perfect makeup look for you. It's super simple and requires a no-fuss costume.
All it takes is drawing a few lines from your eye to the tops of your cheekbone (with a black or coloured eyeliner, ofc) and connecting them with an upside down 'u'. Add a red lip and some fangs and call yourself a vampire... voilá!
This look (literally) screams Wednesday-Addams-but-make-it-chic. To contour, opt for a cool-tone contour, or possibly even a grey cream shadow, for a more corpse-like finish and take it under your eyes, too for a tired up all night doing dark things finish. While Danielle opted for a red lip, black lipstick is also a classic for this look. It would only be right to style your hair into Wednesday's signature braids.
Staying on our mermaid vibe, this look is a little tricker but if you're a dab hand with a paintbrush and have liquid shadows or face paints to hand, this pretty look is an elevated take on mermaidcore.
Sequin eyes, high-shine lips and glossy skin... This makeup look is giving us Studio 54 vibes - and we are so here for it.
Take inspo from one of our all-time favourite makeup artists (@PaintedbyEsther) and layer face gems over a neon eyeliner to give lids a disco-ball look.
Complete your look with a 70s-inspired outfit (think: rainbow glitter flares and a feathery halter top). Who says halloween can't be glam?

Euphoria quickly became known for its incredible and out-there makeup looks.
While Doniella Davy, the show's makeup artist, created some incredible yet intricate eye looks, there were some simpler options that are just as impactful. Take this eyeliner moment by Maddy. She has winged eyeliner but for an extra Euphoria touch, Doniella applied rhinestones along the liner.
Her inspiration? \"I wanted Maddy’s liner to be reminiscent of a shiny 🔪 when the light hits it b/c of the way she cuts through everyone’s bullsh*t in this episode,\" she wrote in the caption. Iconic, really.
Clowns have been a popular makeup choice for Halloween since the dawn of time, especially after the revival of IT.
While this lewk does require some skills with blending, it's not as hard as it looks. Influencer Danielle Marcan posted a step-by-step Instagram Reel of how she achieved this clown makeup.
Plus, you can pick and choose which shades you want to use and the result is truly worth it.

If spooky isn't your thing – though these could low key work in a creepy costume on second thoughts – but yes if creepy isn't your thing, this beautiful flower look can be achieved by glued dried flowers to your face with lash glue, add a few faux freckles for extra nymph vibes.
If you aren't keen to go down the scary route, opt for something bright and fun like a pop art look. The key to this is a good selection of brightly coloured eyeliners and pigments - use them to outline your features, add freckles and overline the lips. And of course, to make these 'pop', highlight with a bright white.
Andy Warhol vibes to a T.

Bridgerton is a classic and an incredibly easy Halloween look to pull off. If I'm being totally honest with you, the makeup requires minimal-to-no effort. I mean, your every day no makeup makeup would work just fine! It's all in the intricate updo hairstyle and a stunning silky empire gown. E Z.

I don't know about you, but when I think of fear in my childhood, The Little Mermaid's Ursula always springs to mind.
But if you want to recreate the look of Disney's most popular villain, it's not as hard as it might seem. Apply purple-toned eyeshadow (or even a face paint) all over your face and contour with a darker shade. Clearly, she was a fan of 90s beauty trends, judging by her blue eyeshadow, red lip and extremely thin eyebrows. Maybe Ursula has been a beauty icon all along?

In all honesty, this Halloween makeup look is all about the hair. Find a white/platinum silver wig and you're already half way there.
For your makeup, you can go for a glam look like Makeup by Shayla, or keep it natural like Halle Berry's interpretation in the X-Men movies. Either way, you'll nail it if you get those eerie contact lenses.
The Queen's Gambit is one of the biggest Netflix shows, so channelling your inner Beth Harmon could be a great idea.
To step into the shows of the chess whizz, all you need to do is scribble white eyeliner onto your lower lash line to re-create Anna Taylor-Joy's wide eyes, draw on an exaggerated Cupid's bow and top it all off with a red wig.
It might help to carry a chessboard around, too, but you might want to glue down the pieces.

Yes, Angelina Jolie's take on Maleficent required some fake facial prosthetics but you can still achieve a pretty accurate take on the Disney villain without any.
The key to this look is strong, harsh eyebrows, a bold red lip and coloured contact lenses. To achieve Maleficent's signature cheekbones, face the mirror front-on and add layers of contour until you get the same chiselled effect. Remember, this look isn't about achieving a subtle, blended finish so go all out.
