When it comes to justifying new makeup purchases, I'm all over it. Despite the fact that my beauty collection is out of control (I'm talking, a chest of drawers, bathroom cabinet and a wall of shelves) when it comes to newness, I can't help but crave the next shiny glittery makeup release. That being said, I'm a big believer that you don't have to drop £££ to get the best beauty products. Whilst there's something oh-so satisfying about snapping shut a weighty Tom Ford compact, I know there are some incredible products to be found in the isles of your local Boots/Superdrug.

So, what is it that makes us want to part with a stack of our hard-earned cash in return for some one luxury beauty product? I guess it's all about the experience, and if you're after a luxury experience, Christian Louboutin Beauty take things to a further than any other brand. And the newest Christian Louboutin beauty product is no exception, meet the £38 single eyeshadows...

These liquid eyeshadows come in multitude of shades and the formula includes both mattes and shimmers finishes - so there's plenty of choice. The brand claim that the "opaque pigments won't fade or run, even hours after application". But do these decadent gold vials really live up to their £38 price tag? As with all crazy-but-cool beauty products, four Cosmo Editors put them to the test in our Beauty Lab YouTube Series. Which, if you're new to these parts, is where we trial all kinds of amazing makeup, hair and skin care products out on camera.
