When it comes to justifying new makeup purchases, I'm all over it. Despite the fact that my beauty collection is out of control (I'm talking, a chest of drawers, bathroom cabinet and a wall of shelves) when it comes to newness, I can't help but crave the next shiny glittery makeup release. That being said, I'm a big believer that you don't have to drop £££ to get the best beauty products. Whilst there's something oh-so satisfying about snapping shut a weighty Tom Ford compact, I know there are some incredible products to be found in the isles of your local Boots/Superdrug.
So, what is it that makes us want to part with a stack of our hard-earned cash in return for some one luxury beauty product? I guess it's all about the experience, and if you're after a luxury experience, Christian Louboutin Beauty take things to a further than any other brand. From the mascara tube that weighs more than my entire makeup bag, to the utterly impractical talon-like nail polishes, it's a whole new level of OTT. And the newest Christian Louboutin beauty product is no exception, meet the £38 single eyeshadows...

These liquid eyeshadows come in multitude of shades and the formula includes both mattes and shimmers finishes - so there's plenty of choice. The brand claim that the "opaque pigments won't fade or run, even hours after application". But do these decadent gold vials really live up to their £38 price tag?
