In the same way that high street fashion brands sell 'knock offs' of designer clothes, beauty brands are now doing the same thing with makeup.

Primark is one of the biggest brands 'duping' high end products right now, what with their heavily KKW Beauty inspired 'Nudes' collection, not to mention their Too Faced inspired 'Chocolate' range.

But it's their £4 Amber eyeshadow palette which is being compared online to Urban Decay's infamous Naked Heat palette.

While there's no doubt Primark has been heavily inspired by Urban Decay in terms of packaging, can a £4 eyeshadow palette ever really live up to the quality of a £39.50 one?

YouTuber Abi Braithwaite aka The Petite Journal was keen to review the Primark palette on her channel after admitting that she owns and uses the original Urban Decay Heat palette almost every single day.

Despite 'stanning' heavily for Urban Decay, Abi was seriously impressed by the Primark version.

"I would actually really recommend this as an Urban Decay dupe. I've never tested Primark eyeshadows before but I thought they were really pigmented, not chalky and I only had the tiniest bit of fall out under my eye."

However, YouTuber Tammi Clarke wasn't so sure about the 'dupe' claims.

"The more I look at them they look nothing alike. The packaging is definitely Urban Decay inspired however on the inside you can see Urban Decay's shades are a lot deeper than the Primark one. I don't even feel like I could get the same look out of these."

But she was impressed by the quality of the palette.

"It's definitely good for the money, it's good for £4 and if you do like the shade selection it performs well."

So while we're not going to be trading our beloved Urban Decay palettes anytime soon, for £4 Primark's eyeshadow palettes are clearly not to be sniffed at.
