There's something about the start of spring that signals change. Not only are we culling our wardrobes and doing a deep clean, but we're also booking in for our next haircut. Freshly chopped ends will leave you feeling like a woman reborn, and what better time to be reborn than when the nights are getting longer and the sun is feeling warmer.

So, say goodbye to the split ends you've let grow out while taking refuge from the constant rain, and say hello to bouncy, healthy locks!

And if you've been on the fence as to whether to take the plunge and finally get a bob, then there really is no better time than the spring. The short lengths are undoubtedly easier to manage, and as life becomes more fun, and your diary gets fuller, shaving minutes off your getting-ready routine can make all the difference.

Convinced yet? No? Well, have a look at some of our fave bobs that just *sing* spring, and try to tell me otherwise...

Emma Stone's bob has been taking the internet by storm, and for clear reason. The auburn locks are perfectly coloured to suit her complexion, plus their loose curls and flicked out ends are the perfect casual-yet-intentional style we all dream of.

Just because we are heading into the warmer months doesn’t mean you have to dye your hair blonde. Buck the curb! Go darker! Selena’s sleek dark brunette bob is super sexy colour that goes well with so many spring colours. When you’re wearing most pastels and brighter hues in the wardrobe, a darker ‘do will make your clothes sing even more.

Golden hues

Although it *must* be said, there just *is* something about going blonde for spring that feels *right*. It’s like M&S and picky bits - one just isn’t the same without the other! Sydney Sweeney’s lengths are shorter at the front, adding great body and dimension to her locks.

Floral accessories

There’s never a better excuse to start paying with accessories than in the springtime. A little floral clip, or a floral headband like Zara is showcasing here and you’ll be the very embodiment of spring herself! Headbands like these are also a great way to keep back tricky-to-manage bangs that have grown out a bit too much and are in dire need of a trim (we’ve all been there)!

Blunt ends

A blunt cut for spring sets you up so well for the rest of the season. This super short, chin-length bob looks like it’s between cut with a fine razor, and will give you plenty of time between hair appointments if your diary is already filling up with plans making the most of the lighter evenings!

Super-cropped curls

Okay, this might be verging on a pixie cut BUT Jesse Buckley's curly crop is so fresh and unique that it would've been a crime not to add to our inspo list. The dirty-blonde highlights are great for anyone struggling to commit to a colour as it toes effortlessly between being not-brown-but-not-blonde-either.

Swooping bangs

While not of all us are brave enough to go quite as short as a pixie, the lob is a great option for anyone used to having much longer lengths. It makes growing out your cut a lot easier too! These swooping bangs frame the face and give a lot of movement and body to an otherwise one-length cut.

All-over bleach

I'm sure everyone toys with going bleach blonde at least once in their life, and why not do it when you have a chin-length cut? It's easier to manage, maintain, and keep healthy when there's genuinely just less hair to deal with. Having a bleach moment in the spring also means not having to content with the extra damage that summer's higher UV days bring.
