First, begin by parting a small section of hair near the nape of your neck; apply edge control to keep your hair in place. Then, within the tiny section, create three triangular sections of hair and twist each section to keep them each separate.

Next, starting with the middle triangular section, untwist your hair. Then, create a box braid, feeding in extensions for thickness and length, and then feed in a wavier extension piece toward the ends. Tie the braid off to secure it, and then trim any remaining hair extensions that are straight, leaving the ends wavy. Repeat the same step on the left and right triangular sections.

Now, above the three braids you've just created, part off another small section of hair. Repeat the previous steps, but this time you'll make five triangular sections, creating a box braid within each of them, feeding in the wavy extensions when you reach the ends.

Then, starting at your temple, section off another part of hair above the braids that you just made. Divide the section into triangular parts and create a box braid within each one. Remember to continue to feed in straight extensions, followed by the wavier pattern toward the ends, throughout this entire braiding process.

Finally, with the last section of hair, repeat the previous step and create more box braids within the geometric-shaped parts you made. Use mousse to lay your edges, coat your braids with a nourishing olive oil sheen spray to add shine, and boom—you're done!
