When a swipe right turns to date night, there are a number of things that fly through your mind with gale force.
What are we going to do on this date? Please don't try and make me do any 'adrenaline', I only like the idea of you being a fun junkie. What are we going to talk about? Should I tell him about my undying love for Mr Pickles (the cat, you filthbag)?
Where the eff did I put my go-to date outfit? It's a lot, tbh. But while you may (understandably) be panicking about all of that, at least you needn't worry about your hair.
Not with our four step guide to tousled, I-woke-up-like-this waves, from our Beauty Director, Inge von Lotringen:
Step 1
Start by spritzing your damp hair with a texturising spray - we're into Bumble & Bumble's Surf Spray.
Step 2
The key to this step is a really good hairdryer. Find one that allows you to control the temperature and airflow to a tee as you're going to need a low heat but medium speed to dry your hair sans frizz.
The Dyson Supersonic™ lets you pick the perfect temperature of 60°C so that you can just dry while running your fingers through your hair without losing any volume, and with a smooth finish so you don't look like one of Macbeth's witches.
Aim your dryer parallel to your hair and dry while running your fingers through until 80% dry.
Step 3
Using a diffuser attachment, fold sections of your hair into the diffuser, folding it like an accordion and holding for 20 seconds until totally dry. Finish with a cold shot of air to set your waves.
Step 4
Repeat all over until done. Finish by giving your hair a little jujj and get ready to break hearts.
