14 best eyebrow serums that strengthen, condition and promote growth – tried and tested
Plus, Derms share the formulas they actually rate

After many failed attempts at microblading, brow lamination, castor oil, and hair-growth vitamins, I kinda threw in the towel on growing out my eyebrows.
That is, until I tried an eyebrow growth serum, which ~apparently~ can help thicken and lengthen your eyebrow hairs with a blend of moisturisers and strengtheners.
So, what’s the deal when it comes to eyebrow growth serums? “Eyebrow-growth serums won’t necessarily make your brows grow faster or thicker,” says dermatologist Dr. Marisa Garshick, “but they can help to strengthen and condition your eyebrow hairs, which may give your hairs a thicker and healthier appearance.”
Often eyebrow growth serums are separated into two categories: some are designed to grow hair from the root while others contain ingredients to strengthen and condition existing hairs.
Minoxidil is a dermatologist-backed ingredient that has been proven to stimulate hair follicles, resulting in growth. If you’re looking for an over-the-counter treatment, tubes that contain peptides, conditioning oils or hyaluronic acid will support your existing hairs and prevent breakage.
How to get the best results with an eyebrow growth serum
According to leading brow artist Hollie Parkes, consistency is everything if you want to get the best results. “Daily use supports the brow’s natural growth cycle,” she explains. If you want to further boost your brow growth journey, Hollie also suggests getting professional treatments. “When I put clients on a regrowth programme, we combine consistent home care with appointments to map, shape and guide the brows as new hair comes through,” she explains.
They certainly aren’t an essential in your routine, but they are a great option if your arches are feeling a little sparse or if you’re dealing with hair loss. As long as as the hair follicles aren’t damaged, a brow growth serum will help support the regrowth process.
To find the best eyebrow growth serums of all time I tested a variety of leading formulas and turned to dermatologists Dr. Dhaval G. Bhanusali, Dr. Kavita Mariwalla, Dr. Mona Gohara, Dr. Garshick and leading brow artist Hollie Parkes to answer the FAQs.
Scroll on for the full list of the best eyebrow-growth serums I tested, along with dermatologists’ favourite options.
*To note: If you are starting your brow-growth journey, we suggest speaking to a professional – either your GP or a dermatologist – especially before using a growth serum containing minoxidil or if you have sensitive skin. Alternatively, you can perform a patch test first to check for any irritation.
