If there's one thing the British high street loves, it's democratising luxury – especially when it comes to beauty. And in the case of Primark, that now includes a £6 eau de parfum that smells far more expensive than its TFL price tag. Enter: Soul Reflections, the fruity, violet-tinged spritz that's slowly becoming the worst-best kept secret in affordable fragrance.
Categorised as a fruity scent, Soul Reflections opens with a juicy blackcurrant note sharpened by violet leaf. The first impression? Ribena – and I mean that in the best possible way. It's playful and a little nostalgic!
And yes, while that may sound juvenile, patience is a virtue (and so is layering). Once it settles, the sweetness softens into something cleaner and more grown-up: fresh linen with a wink to a nightshaded fruit bowl. Açai, but make it scented.
Personally, I'd pack this straight into my hand luggage for a European beach vacay, but with the sun staging cameo appearances between showers and spring tentatively clocking in, there's really no better time to usher in the warmer months than with something this bright and uplifting.
The truly unhinged part is that this is an eau de parfum for £6. Not a hopeful splash. Not a body mist. Not an eau de toilette. An EDP. With a composition of water, alcohol and a higher concentration of fragrance oils, it clings to skin with impressive stamina. The sillage is polite but present – AKA, enough to elicit compliments in lifts and at lunch.
That's all to say you won't need to spray half the bottle to get longevity, but even if you did? It's £6! Liberally mist away without fiscal remorse… Delicious scent and enough change left over for a post-spritz coffee.
Everyone's clicking on...
The only downside? You can't buy it online. Which means you'll have to pop into store – and possibly leave with more than you planned. Don't say I didn't warn ya.
