Overnight, the annual British Fashion Awards took place in London with star-studded celebrities from across the globe in attendance. Of course, the 'fits were ones to note, but the beauty was not to be overlooked – in particular, Rochelle Humes' dramatic haircut.
Yep, that's right, arguably snubbing the fashion (that is, IMO, anyway) came the ITV presenter's super short pixie haircut! Long gone are her raven mid-length locks, and in their place is a head-hugging crop.
Jay Birmingham was the mastermind hairstylist behind Rochelle's look and used L'Oréal Paris products to enhance the softly textured waves.
On her Instagram Story, Rochelle shared a number of images from the night, including a mid-cut snap.
And another two of Halle Berry circa 1995. "The inspo," she wrote to accompany the pictures.
Earlier this season, hairstylist and trend forecaster Tom Smith predicted the 'power pixie' as a big trend for the end of 2025, with celebrities from Julia Garner to Florence Pugh and now, Rochelle Humes all rocking the cut. "It's a no-fuss look, but a fashion statement. Bold, defiant, and perfect for the season’s sharper tailoring and attitude-led dressing," Tom shared. So, you could say that this is thee 'it' haircut RN!
Everyone's clicking on...
That all said, we must speculate that Rochelle's haircut may, in fact, be the result of a clever wig. After all, celebrities are no strangers to fleeting hair transformations (Kardashian-Jenners, I'm looking @ you), especially when it comes to making a statement on a red carpet.
Alas, wig or not, we're all for a shocking chop, especially when it comes to a style that's as edgy and on-trend as this one. The pixie resurrection is here to stay!
