I think it's fair to say that this year's Married at First Sight UK delivered on the entertainment front, partly thanks to the #couplegoals (John and Abi, we're looking @ you), but mostly due to Julia-Ruth and her relations with fellow contestant husbands, Joe and Steven. [Insert side eye emoji, here]
And today, Julia-Ruth is keeping up drama momentum, having ditched her iconic curls and instead, debuting a brand new (and shocking) mullet hairstyle on Instagram. The dancer took to her Stories earlier this morning, answering fan questions, and while tea was spilt, it was the business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back 'do that had us in awe.
The look marks quite the departure from her usual glam and glossy curls, giving off major 70s rock-chic energy. It's a fearless move, but did we expect anything less from the bold and confident Julia-Ruth? (Spoiler: No!) Whether it's a new chapter post-MAFS or simply an experimental phase, one thing's for sure: she knows how to keep everyone talking...
For context and to really gauge how dramatic this transformation is, here's a look at the reality star's hair before:
And here she is rocking the brand new 70s-inspired mullet:
Now, as gorgeous as this hairstyle is (and before you go and make like Julia-Ruth with your own mullet haircut), we must speculate that it may, in fact, be a wig. After all, on social media, the star has rocked a number of different haircuts and colours, one day rocking a peroxide blonde bob and the next, XL waves. Case in point:
Nevertheless, wig or not, we're all for retro resurrection, especially when it comes to a style that's as edgy and on-trend as this one!
