America's sweetheart in the 90s, global icon today, Jennifer Aniston knows how to make a statement – whether that's on screen or off screen. And most notably, said statements come via her hairstyles (that is, besides her award-winning acting, of course). I mean, helloooo, the 90s Rachel cut that had us all in a chokehold!
Fast forward three decades (and just short of 24 hours ago), Jen put a twist on her most legendary hairstyle, donning the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine with a super layered cut. And it's one that we're dubbing the 'faux Rachel'. Lemme explain...
On first glance, it would appear that the star has reverted to her Rachel cut, which, today, is known as a hybrid of both the jellyfish and curve cut. The shorter, face-framing strands sit just below chin-length and are, dare I say, guised as a bob.
The succeeding shoot images, however, show that Jen has not actually cut her hair, but instead, is rocking a lot of feathered layers that curve inward. Aka, it's a faux Rachel!
Not convinced? Case in point: Jennifer's 1997 hairstyle.
Gorgeous, both then and now!Props go out to the glam squad behind the beauty of this cover shoot, Jen's longtime hairstylist, Chris McMillan and world-renowned celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips. Accompanying the hair, Mary created a mod-inspired makeup look with a thick 70s liner that has been pared back with a nude overlined lip.
Everyone's clicking on...
Overall? It's a look that's making headlines. *Chef's kiss*
