Move over Vivian Ward, the real Pretty Woman of autumn 2025 has arrived – and it's Julia Roberts with shaggy pumpkin spice latte hair! You could even say that the style is brewing the perfect seasonal vibe... Soz.
Over the weekend [29 August], the actor attended the 82nd Venice Film Festival in Italy and, for the occasion, turned up and out in both the fashion and beauty departments. Julia wore a floor-length, sleeved indigo blue gown, complete with drop earrings and a chunky bangle; however, it was, arguably, her hair that stole the show.
Serge Normant, Julia's longtime friend and hairstylist, shared a video on Instagram styling her hair in the aforementioned shaggy curls, which are characterised by heaps of movement and texture. (Hi, hello texturising spray and a waving tong!)
The look is a subtle nod to 70s glam and modern, low-maintenance elegance.
And not only is the style effortlessly cool, but so is the burnt orange colour, a shade perfect for the fast-approaching spooky season. After all, as we swap out our bikinis for knit sweaters, hair trends also shift from icy blonds to richer, warmer tones – and as predicted, both the shag and bedhead hair are making comebacks.
