Davina McCall is no stranger to a fringe – I mean, she's had one ever since she stepped into the spotlight back in the 90s! That said, circa three decades later and we've never seen the presenter with bangs quite like the ones she just debuted. Enter: Curtain bangs... to the max.

Just short of 24 hours ago, Davina shared a video reel on Instagram alongside her boyfriend and hairstylist, Michael Douglas, apologising for this week's missed episode of their podcast, Making The Cut. Naturally, friends and fans of the pair understood their reasons, sharing the love in the comments section; however, others (including ourselves on the Cosmopolitan Beauty Team) were a little preoccupied with Davina's flippy fringed hairstyle.

As one fan put it: "Loving your hair Davina I could do with a makeover how you fixed maestro 😍"

The body and volume in those bangs are oh so impressive!

But what exactly are curtain bangs? Well, hairstylist to the stars Patrick Wilson previously spoke to Cosmopolitan about what defines this cut. "Curtain bangs are generally longer than traditional bangs [a fringe] and frame the face with a 'curtain' effect; the style is usually parted in the middle," Patrick explains. "They have a softer, more relaxed vibe, with plenty of movement, blending effortlessly into the rest of the hair for a natural, effortless look."

And just as Davina's bangs show, when blown out with a round brush, this style can add bounce and volume to any look.

Everyone's clicking on...

With that, you best believe I'll be following suit! Booking in for a cut and style as we speak...
