Bobs, bixies and shags; We're all in the know with what's trending in the world of hair, but what about makeup? Well, per everyone's fave celebs – from Pamela Anderson to Miley Cyrus and even the 'It girls' on TikTok – 'ghost lashes' is the rising trend to know.
But with such an ambiguous name, what constitutes a ghost lash and how is the look best achieved? Keep on reading below to swot up on the next big thing in beauty...
So, what are ghost lashes?

Defined by their barely-there appearance, ghost lashes enhance one's natural lengths but without making too much of a statement. Think: Your lashes but a lil bit better. By adding slight definition via your lash curler or just a lick of mascara (you can opt for clear for minimal definition, brown for a whisper or black for a little more pigment), ghost lashes create an open yet fresh and natural look.
The latest celebrity to adopt the look? Miley Cyrus, who appeared on the cover of Perfect magazine overnight, with her take on the ghost lashes trend.
As mentioned, Miley's ghost lashes are in good company. Pamela Anderson has, arguably, fronted the look for a number of years after vowing to rock a mostly makeup-free face back in 2019. So, with six years under her belt, she sure does know how to rock a ghost lash.
While Pamela herself hasn't explicitly confirmed what she uses on her lashes – if anything – we would assume that she has implemented a lash serum into her routine, rather than a mascara. This makes for a more streamlined and minimal everyday makeup regimen.
