Nicole Kidman has been having a good great hair day since May. (Could never be me.) After the time she shocked the nation with a pixie cut at the 2025 Met Gala, the actor has served look after look; from a hacked ear-length bob, to a striking ice white lob, there's no stopping Nic! Most recently, however, she's pared it all back and instead, debuted a more natural look. Enter: An abundance of shaggy curls.
In a recent 16-part Instagram carousel post, Nicole is shown to be enjoying a summer holiday away with her family. And as much as we enjoy a sneak peek into the group's the wholesome activity, it was a snap of Nicole's hair, in a picture alongside her sister Antonia Kidman and niece Lucia Hawley, that had us in awe.
Gone are the star's signature straight lengths and in replacement, she's giving voluminous stretched curls for days.
For context, here's a look at the before and afters...

A rare yet gorgeous sight!
Unfortunately, Nicole is yet to drop the curly haircare routine, however, if you, too, want to embrace your natural curls, we have a fair few recommendations.
For definition, a curly girl gel or cream is going to be your go-to. Our favourite's at the moment? The Bouclème Curl Cream which helps to style, soften and define all curl types, with the result of bouncy, velvety curls and the Noughty Wave Hello Curl Taming Cream which is an uber-light weight but moisturising formula, great for those with finer hair types.
So, prepare to make like Nic with choppy, layered curls to rival those of a mermaid. You heard it here first, it's a curly girl summer!
