In a week that saw Nicole Kidman channelling both the elegance of superfine tailoring and the allure of a country music queen, one thing remained constant: her hair was on a journey of its own. Prepare for a ride, folks...
Earlier this week [Monday 5 May], Nicole made a bold entrance at the 2025 Met Gala, sporting a dramatic two-tone pixie cut created by hairstylist Adir Abergel. The look was a nod to Dandyism, aligning with the event's theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style."
Her ensemble, a custom Balenciaga gown, took 700 hours (!!) to craft and featured a square neckline, flared skirt, and silk bow details. She completed the look with black heels, short gloves, diamond earrings, and classic glam makeup.
More recently, and just three days later [May 8, 2025], at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas, Nicole stepped out onto the red carpet rocking her signature long, straight hair... Erm, what?!
She complemented the look with a high-neck leather top, flared sarong pants, and a dainty wristwatch. Her husband, Keith Urban, was honoured with the prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award at the event.
The verdict? We've got hair whiplash. And have come to the realisation that Monday's pixie cut was achieved via a wig. (That, or she's uncovered a magic hair growth potion from Rapunzel herself.)
Everyone's clicking on...
Disappointing, much?
Nevertheless, I think it's safe to say that Nicole's rapid hair transformations have left fans in awe. From super short pixie chic to long and flowing tresses, her versatility knows no bounds. Whether it's for a role, an event, or just for fun, Nicole proves that when it comes to hair, she's always ahead of the curve.
