For her eighth time up iconic Met Gala steps, Zoe Saldaña marked the occasion with a super short hair transformation – and it just so happens to be her most dramatic cut to date. This year, the girlies came to play!

Like a seasoned veteran, the Emilia Pérez actor stepped out onto the Metropolitan Museum of Art red carpet looking as glamorous as ever; she wore a monochromatic Thom Browne dress that featured a figure-hugging bodice buttoned all the way down to the floor. The gown's details also included a white collar and a white bow, which could be seen over her right shoulder and flowed down into a train behind her.

Aka, she totally nailed the "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme!

But fashions aside, arguably, it was her hairstyle that stole the show. I mean, she did ditch her long brunette tresses for a micro bob reminiscent of Joan of Arc's...

And complementing the jaw-skimming cut came an equally impressive micro fringe. The bigger the better? No! The shorter, the sexier.

Celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak was the genius behind Zoe's shocking 'do and took to Instagram to describe it as a "1920s Dandy Bob".

Everyone's clicking on...

"Inspired by the tapered, sleek, tailored lines and exaggerated shapes found in signature dandy fashion," Mara wrote. Two words: Simply stunning.

Having said all that, we must speculate that Zoe's cropped hairstyle may, in fact, be a wig. After all, it is the Met Gala, so anything goes!

Alas, wig or not, this bob is certainly one that'll go down in history and it's one that we're naming as Zoe Saldaña's best hair look EVER.
