So, everyone's talking about the 2025 Oscars this morn, natch, but what about the Vanity Fair Oscars after party?! Not so much... And controversially, that's where all the fun went down, including Miley Cyrus' unrecognisable makeover. Micro-fringe and naked brows, you are the sabatoeurs.
Miley (my favourite celebrity in the entire world, if you cared to know), arrived at the 97th annual Oscars arm in arm with boyfriend Maxx Morando and of course, she looked as stunning as ever; the hairstyle, reminiscent of Old Hollywood glamour and the dress, floor-length and sparkly. No notes.
However, following the ceremony and after a quick change, the pair headed to the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, where Miley stepped out onto the second red carpet of the night looking like a totally different person. For context, here is the before:
And the after:
Now, don't get me wrong, Mils looks absolutely gorgeous, like always – in my eyes, she can do no wrong. But, what does contribute to such a transformation is the hair and makeup. The big, bouffant, curly blowout has been switched out for a sleek ponytail complete with teeny tiny bangs, which in turn, brings closer attention to the face... hi naked brows!
Naked brows, ICYDK, are the result of having one's eyebrows either shaved off or lightened; in Miley's case, it's the latter. Her once dark brown arches have been transformed with bleach, giving an overall softness to her look.
Divisive? Perhaps. But here at Cosmo, we're all for a divisive beauty look. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Miley can do no wrong!
