Last night [December 4, 2024], Rihanna stunned at the 38th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards arm in arm with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. And adorable as the couple were, what had us, to put it quite bluntly, confused was RiRi's hairstyle... A purposefully botched cut, perhaps?

As shown in the pap snap below, the singer is now rocking no ordinary fringe; it's bluntly cut but the strands are of multiple lengths. While Rihanna, of course, can pull off just about any look (I mean, she'd look gorgeous wearing a bin bag), this cut is somewhat avant-garde and seems to have been hacked at.

In other words, the look is reminiscent of the DIY fringe I shoddily cut myself at 7 years old. Cue the war flashbacks.

That said, there's no denying how stunning ar Queen Ri looks. Praise be!

Interestingly, Rihanna isn't the only celebrity to have rocked a hacked fringe as of late. Simone Ashley debuted a similar hairstyle at the 2024 Fashion Awards earlier this week, as did Katy Perry on her Instagram Story earlier today.

As the old adage saying goes: Three is not a crowd, but a trend! You heard it here first, folks. Could you get behind 2025 being the year of the hacked fringe? Personally, I may need a lil more convincing...
