Sad news just in: Blonde Lana Del Rey is no more. However (and it's a big however), while we're, ofc, still mourning this loss, the singer's brand new waterfall bang haircut is somewhat making up from said peroxide hole in our hearts. Small wins, guys.
Stepping out at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards [4 February, 2024] alongside celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Doja Cat, Lana stole the limelight – if you will – with her fresh fringe haircut. See red carpet snaps below.
Now, while not a dramatic and transformative hair makeover, what makes this look so different from Lana's classic retro bangs is not only the style but its varying lengths. From eye-grazing to ear, chin and even shoulder lengths, this 'do sees the best of a number of fringes all in one.
Fusing the block fringe look with curtain bangs, Lana's waterfall interpretation gives fullness and definition to her face-framing hairstyle. As we can see from the reference pics above, the star has opted for a gradient-style fringe and as mentioned, this cut is defined by longer pieces of hair that gradually reduce in length the further inward they get.It gives a natural, grown-out finish but still maintains a choppy, effortless edge – hence its waterfall name. Tamed, shaggy and sexy in equal parts.
Oh, and to top it all off, one heartwarming exchange between Lana and Tay Tay has taken social media by storm. Aka, one fan caught Taylor fixing Lana's hair for her on camera.
Now this is girlhood.
