Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's triumphant and PDA-filled return to the spotlight may be all that you're gushing over but here on the Cosmopolitan Beauty Desk all eyes (albeit behind a pair of shades) were on mama Rocky's glass hair. A bold beauty statement if I ever did see one!
#Kravis – as they are known – stepped out last night at the 75th Emmy Awards [15 January, 2024] for the first time since the arrival of their baby son, Rocky Thirteen Barker. And of course, the pair were papped doing what they do best... aka, snogging in front of the camera (no tea, no shade, just facts fakts).
Smooching aside, the couple were dressed head-to-toe in matching black suits that we named as one of the best dressed outfits of the year. However, while Kourt and Trav couldn't quite replicate each other's hairstyles to complete the twinning mo' (read: one has hair and the other, well, doesn't), the new mum-of-four opted for a sleek veil-like hairstyle to fit with their sleek and polished aesthetic.
On first glance, Kourt's hair looks somewhat glossy but just wait until you see it reflect light in the below video. Her strands are so glossy that they're almost liquidy in texture... *pulls out a pair of sunnies to shield eyes from said reflection*
Shining, shimmering, splendid!
This preened-to-perfection beauty look is best known as the 'glass hair' trend, taking its name from its likeliness to reflect light just as glass can. Now, glass-like hair, unfortunately, cannot be achieved by all (I'm looking at you bleached/fried bbs) as it does require your strands to, naturally, be in tip-top condition. Boo.
Everyone's clicking on...
Having said that, in some cases, the look can be replicated with a little help from our favourite shiny hair products. Yay!
So, friends, get that bedhead tamed and products added to cart because we're all about to come for Kourt and her award-worthy tresses.
